Over the years I’ve experimented with blues, rock, country, and even a couple of lounge tunes, but my songwriting has been informed consistently by the lyric-driven English and American folk traditions. The songs offered on this website will be organized thematically rather than in order of composition. Each collection will be a kind of concept album approaching in different ways my lifelong fascination with working folk, outlaws, class, religion, war, injustice, and the brevity of life.
